Description
In June the bees pollinate the fields of broad beans (Vicia faba). The bees nibble the back of the flower to get to the nectar inside. Not only does this increase the farmer’s bean harvest but also produces this delicious late spring honey.
This honey is dark gold, highly fragrant, distinctly flavoured and particularly sweet.
Serving suggestion:
Delicious in yoghurt or in a light wine vinegar salad dressing.
Precautions:
- Honey is not suitable for people with a severe allergy to pollen or other bee products.
- Honey should not be given to infants under 12 months of age.
