Description
A piece of pure honeycomb from our Cheshire apiaries, exactly as the bees made it.
Our honeycomb is made by the bees in the mid summer whilst foraging on the tree blossom and flowers in the hedgerows of the Cheshire countryside. We remove all the Oilseed Rape honey from the hives before setting the cut comb frames to ensure the resulting honey comb contains only multifloral blossom honey that does not crystalise too quickly. It is normally available from July onwards.
Some of the comb may contain the odd pocket of pollen the bees have collected – This ‘Perga’ is a natural superfood and highly valued.
Postage:
This comb is for collection from the Honey House only as there is a risk that the container might leak honey whilst in the post resulting in a rather sticky mess!
Serving suggestion:
Just smear on hot toast and eat the honey and beeswax together like normal honey.
Precautions:
- Honey should not be taken by people with severe allergies to honey, pollen or other bee products.
- Honey should not be given to infants under 12 months of age.
