Description
Bax Bees’ Honeygar is a mix of Bax Bees’ honey and Ostlers Cloudy Apple Cider Vinegar.
The vinegar includes ‘The Mother’ which is full of good living bacteria and powerful enzymes, unlike pasteurised vinegars which are available at the big supermarkets and are typically clear as have been boiled. It is made using a special blend of freshly crushed Devonshire apples grown in orchards undergoing organic conversion. Ostlers is a family run Orchard and Cider Mill and is one of the few traditional cider orchards left in Devon that grows and hand picks its apples on site to make cider vinegar.
The honey is gathered by the bees from the Cheshire trees and hedgrows during early summer and is raw and cold gravity extracted. It is only coarse filtered and unpasteurised unlike supermarket honeys so that all the natural enzymes, active yeasts and proteins are preserved.
Honeygar was originally formulated as a health tonic for those following an alkalising diet. It is taken by many people who believe that it reduces the symptoms of arthritis, due to its alkalising effect. Sir Ranulph Fiennes is by no means alone in crediting it with the disappearance of his arthritic symptoms.
