Our raw, Cheshire spring honey infused with whole vanilla pods.

We slice open the pods and add them to the honey. The mix is then held at 35’C in the warming cabinet for two weeks, stirring daily so that all the vanilla oils and flavours are infused into the honey. This is then coarse filtered so the pods are removed but the vanilla seeds remain suspended in the crystalised honey as black specks.

Vanilla is an aromatic stimulant, with a tendency towards the nervous system and is commonly employed to lift mood and improve concentration.

Serving suggestion:

Delicious on warm toast or crumpets.

Precautions:

• Honey should not be taken by people with allergies to honey, pollen or other bee products.
• Honey should not be given to infants under 12 months.
