Description

This polish requires plenty of elbow grease but can produce a deep, long lasting shine on all types of wood types with a high gloss finish (except French Polish). If starting with unpolished wood a few coats of wood sealant should be applied first and then a reasonable amount of polish and given a good, hard polish. After that, applying polish occasionally will be enough. When the wood is already polished only a small amount of wax polish should be used.

Ingredients:

Cheshire beeswax, gum turpentine.

How to use:

Make sure the wood is clean before applying. Rub it on well with a soft cloth, leave for about 15 minutes to allow the turpentine to evaporate and for the mixture to penetrate the wood. Polish off well leaving a protective and long lasting shine. Feeds the wood and protects against dryness giving an authentic finish.

All beeswax based furniture products are best applied in a warm ambient temperature to improve absorption. Ideally, the container should also be gently warmed beforehand to soften the contents.

Precautions:

  • Neutral in colour but may initially darken the wood slightly as the natural oils are replenished. If in doubt, test on a small concealed area first.
  • Not suitable for furniture with a French Polish finish.
  • The tin should be firmly closed and stored in a cool place.
  • Contains natural gum turpentine, so lots of legally required warnings:

Danger. Flammable liquid and vapour. Harmful if swallowed, in contact with skin or if inhaled. May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways. Causes skin irritation. May cause an allergic skin reaction. Causes serious eye irritation. Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects. Keep out of reach of children
